Daisy by Celine N. Lee

In this story, all fairies were gone
except this one, I called her
Daisy. She liked to hide for me
to seek, usually in some containers. Once she
fell asleep inside a kettle, I almost boiled her
into chamomile tea. Then
she disappeared. Sorry Daisy, I whispered
into the jar, the bin, the basket, the
kettle, but nowhere to be found. Years
later, one morning, by the windowsill, I saw a small
daisy tilt, the spring breeze hummed
as if in a fairytale.
